RHJRD is the passion project of Kingston Derby Girls' co-founders Skate at Home Mom (Kate Archibald-Cross) and LaVallee of the Dolls (Laurie LaVallee), along with KDG alumni skater Mr. Kristi (Kristi Flood).

SAHM & LOTD launched Kingston's first roller derby league in 2010, MK joined in 2011. We retired in 2014 & while our time on skates ended, we still have a serious love affair with derby & all it brings to its players. MK is a teacher in the neighbourhood, SAHM works in the community, and LOTD's dad mentored kids in the area & she'd love to follow in his footsteps; we are stoked to be working together to bring the sport we love into some deserving kids' lives. Derby has changed all of our lives in one way or another and we want to bring all of the empowerment, skill and fitness that we got from playing this sport to kids that may not have the resources to participate otherwise.
